Around Lex is an independent Lexington guide operated by Zach Collins. This policy describes how the guide currently handles information.

Browsing

You do not need an account to read Around Lex. We do not currently add advertising trackers, behavioral analytics, or nonessential cookies. Hosting providers may process technical request logs for delivery and security. If that setup changes, this policy and any required consent controls must change with it.

Plans saved on your device

“Save on this device” is optional. After you choose it, this browser stores up to 20 references to the dates you saved, a comparison code for changed details and the time you saved them. We do not send your saved list to a server, use it for tracking or subscribe you to email. The displayed details come from our current catalog when you open the page; they are not a live organizer check.

Remove an item or choose “Clear saved plans” in the plan finder. Saves belong to this browser and web address. They do not sync across devices or move from a protected preview to aroundlex.com. Private browsing and clearing browser data may remove them. Browsing, native filters, directions and email sharing work without device saving.

Personalization

The plan finder matches the choices you make against listed facts. It does not infer a personal profile or send your choices to an AI provider. Choices submitted in its form appear in the page URL and may appear in hosting request logs. Share a filtered URL only when you are comfortable sharing those choices. Accounts and AI requests are not currently enabled.

Submitting a suggestion or correction

You can email hello@aroundlex.com for general questions and business verification, events@aroundlex.com for event suggestions and corrections, or partners@aroundlex.com for business inquiries. These addresses forward through Cloudflare to the editor’s Google inbox. Your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send are processed by those email providers and used to review or reply to your request. Sending an email does not add you to a mailing list.

Online submission storage is currently closed. Use the email links to send a suggestion or inquiry; no online form saves your information. Email requests are reviewed privately and do not publish themselves. Please include only the information needed to answer your request.

The newsletter opens only when the email provider is configured. It requests explicit consent and confirmation by email. Buttondown is the prepared delivery provider; no live mailing list is connected yet. Unsubscribe through any delivered edition. We do not sell subscriber lists.

Retention and access

Keep submission contact details only as long as needed for review and follow-up. The launch operating policy is to review closed submissions for deletion after 60 days. This review is manual until a verified retention process is in place. Provider logs and newsletter records have their own retention settings.

Email hello@aroundlex.com to request a correction or deletion, including enough context to locate your submission. Do not send identity documents or payment details.

External websites

Directions open Google Maps only when you follow the link. We do not embed a map or request your device location. Calendar downloads are files for your chosen calendar app, with no automatic subscription, attendee list or reminder. The app you import into processes the saved plan under its own settings. Copies do not receive later corrections. Email links open a draft in your own mail app; you choose whether to send it. Worksheets are downloads, not submitted orders.

Event, venue, ticketing, and directions links lead to independent providers with their own policies. Around Lex does not collect ticket payments or control those websites.
