A little closer to your city.

Around Lex is an independent guide to Lexington, Kentucky, built by Zach Collins. We help neighbors find something to do, discover a local place, and make a useful plan without opening a dozen tabs.

Start with a good day.

Our growing selection includes events, festivals, public places, and practical guides. We focus on Lexington and label nearby destinations by their actual location. We do not claim to list every event or business.

Useful details earn trust.

We link to official sources and show when facts were checked. If a price, time, or policy is unknown, we say so. Organizers can change plans, so check their latest information before traveling or buying tickets.

Built for our neighbors.

Browsing, basic event submissions, and corrections are free. Paid partnerships can fund the work, and they must be clearly labeled. Paying does not buy verification or an undisclosed recommendation.

Zach also operates Evening Glow, a Central Kentucky outdoor-lighting business. If a business with an ownership connection appears here, that relationship will be disclosed beside its content.
