For event organizers
List your Lexington event free.
Send us the link to your event’s official page. Listing is free, a person checks it against your page before it goes live, and nothing is ranked for money.
The form takes a minute. Only the event name, date, place and a short note are required.
What to send
The link to the event’s own page on your website or ticket seller is enough when that page states the date, time, place and price. No page yet? Type the details into the form, and add a photo of the flyer if you have one. The flyer stays private. For a series, send only the dates you have confirmed.
How we check it
We compare every event with the organizer’s own page before it goes live. A detail your page does not state is left off or marked to be confirmed, never guessed. Each listing links to your page and shows the date we last checked it. Read the listing standards.
How long it takes
There is no set turnaround, and sending an event does not guarantee a listing. New submissions reach the editor in a private review list every day. Once your event checks out, it goes live with the next version of the site we publish, and pages show it within about two minutes after that. Send it as early as you can.
Fix or cancel a listing
Change your own page first. Then open the listing on Around Lex and use its “Send a correction” or “Suggest a correction” link, or send a correction with the listing’s link. We change a listing when the official page shows the change. A cancelled or postponed event keeps its page with a notice, and its dates leave the upcoming lists. Corrections are free.
Claiming a venue or group page
Every place page and regular-group page has an “Is this yours? Claim it” link. Enter your name, your role and a work email. An address at the listing’s own website domain gets a confirmation link that works once and expires in 72 hours; with any other address, a person checks with the business first. A confirmed claim puts “Verified by the owner” on the page. Claiming is free and needs no account or password. It does not let you edit the page yourself: your updates still come to the editor as corrections. Find your page in all places or regular groups.
What a good event page states
We list what your own page says, so the more it states, the more your listing can show.
- Event name
- Date, start time and end time
- Venue name and street address
- Price for one adult ticket, any fees, and whether children pay
- Age rules (all ages, 18 and up, or 21 and up)
- Registration or tickets, whether they are needed, and the link
- A contact for questions
- If plans change, the words cancelled, postponed or moved on this same page

Paid options are separate
A plain listing never needs a paid service. Businesses that want more can read what we offer businesses and hosts.
