440 West Short Street. The museum has no dedicated lot. Its visitor guide lists street meters and Victorian Square Garage at 350 West Short Street; check rates and allow a separate walk to the museum. For elevator directions, ask the front desk; the FAQ notes some walking within Victorian Square.

The museum describes its focus as children up to age 10. Ages 2–10 are this plan’s suggested range, not an admission restriction or a promise of individual suitability. Read the museum’s age guidance.

Let your child choose the first discovery

Pick two areas that catch their attention on arrival. Explore the first together before deciding what comes next. Our suggested activity does not depend on a particular exhibit being available.

Explore Lexington Children’s Museum

Leave room to change pace

Pause to share something you noticed, return to a favorite spot, or leave earlier if that works better. The 90-minute window is our allowance, not a tour or a requirement to finish everything.

Keep lunch and shopping optional

Plan any food stop outside the museum separately. A gift-shop purchase is not part of this outing’s admission calculation. Before heading home, each choose one discovery you would like to talk about again.

If the day changes

If the museum is unavailable or the visit does not suit your family, postpone rather than rely on an unconfirmed substitute. Check the museum’s current notices and choose a new date yourself; this October 17 plan does not roll forward.

Before you leave

Published Saturday hours are 10 am–5 pm. Recheck the museum homepage for changes. Water is permitted; other food and drinks are not. Ask staff about access or sensory requirements before choosing; no quiet session or accessible route has been verified.

Prepared for Saturday, October 17. Review due after Sunday, October 18. No affiliation or reservation is implied.
