Which calendar to use

The district calendar starts classes August 12, 2026, and lists May 26, 2027, as the last day, pending weather make-up days. William Wells Brown Elementary follows a slightly different calendar, and preschool has its own calendar. Use the district's calendar page for those exceptions and later updates.

For September 29 or 30, an indoor option is Lexington Children's Museum at 440 West Short Street, whose usual Tuesday-through-Friday hours are 10 am to 5 pm and general admission is $10 for ages 2 and older.
